My name is Cait. I'm a hunter of the supernatural. This is somewhat an online journal. A place to post what I know. Maybe even help a few of you, if you got any questions.

Got any useful tips or tricks on killing Harpy's? By the way love what your doing here, very helpful.

I do not believe I’ve ever heard of one before. Maybe one of my followers could help? The only research I could access on the topic as of right now would be a quick internet search, which I’m sure you could do just as well as me.

And thank you very much. Sorry I could not be of much help.

And if anyone else has any information please send it in.

Unless I skipped over do you have an article about demons. I've been curious on what actually works on them.

I do not yet. I apologize and I will work on that.

Well obviously I do not know how to work submissions. I just clicked the publish button but I don’t believe it credited. I apologize.

Cecil Hotel

While it’s possible it was an accidental death, the location and circumstances make me think it could also be a spirit. If someone near LA might be worth checking out. Be careful hotel not in the best neighborhood

The body of Canadian tourist Elisa Lam, 21, was found inside a water tank on top of the Cecil Hotel. Her body was found in the tank by a maintenance worker investigating hotel guests’ complaints about low water pressure.

It is currently unknown how Lam got inside the water tank, which is protected by locked doors and an alarm, so an investigation has been opened to determine if her death was the result of homicide or a “very, very strange accident”.

Lam had traveled alone to California from Vancouver, British Columbia, on January 26th. Her original destination was Santa Cruz, about 350 miles north of Los Angeles. She had been using transportation throughout her stay and had also been in touch with her family until her disappearance.

Police had originally used dogs to try and find Lam when she was first reported missing on Jan 31, and video was released last week of Lam inside a Cecil Hotel elevator pushing buttons for multiple floors and at one point stepping out of the elevator, waving her arms.

The tank where Lam was found is on a platform 10ft above the hotel’s rooftop and feeds taps and showers in the hotel rooms, as well as a coffee shop and the kitchen downstairs. After her body was discovered rotting inside the tank, an order to “do not drink” the water was issued by the L.A County Department of Public Health. But that’s a little too late for some guests who had stayed at the hotel and had unknowingly been ingesting some Lam stew.

“‘The water did have a funny taste,” said Sabrina Baugh, a British tourist who used the water in the hotel for eight days. “We never thought anything of it. We thought it was just the way it was here.”  Baugh went on to say that she and her husband are not doing so well after learning they she and her husband may have had some Lam between her teeth. “‘The moment we found out, we felt a bit sick to the stomach, quite literally, especially having drank the water, we’re not well mentally,” Mr Baugh said.

To ramp up the YUCK factor, the Lam water was also used for cooking in the hotel, and the hotel coffee shop has been closed until all of the food equipment has been sanitized. The Dept. Of Public Health commented through Terrance Powell, a director coordinator: “Our biggest concern is going to be fecal contamination because of the body in the water.” Powell stated that the likelihood of fecal contamination is “minimal” because of the amount of water stored in the cistern but the department wants to be extra cautious.

The Cecil Hotel is on Main Street close to Skid Row and has been struggling because of it. A freaky side note on the hotel’s history is that it once had become the home of serial killer Richard “The Night Stalker”Ramirez,  and Austrian serial killer Johann “Jack” Unterweger.

And since I can’t really make posts, submissions are wonderful!

Hey guys, once I get my broken laptop up and running again I can resume posting. Until then, won’t be much on here ‘sides what pops up in my inbox. Sorry.

Been looking into the Sandy Hook hoaxes on request. Very interesting stuff. Hope to eventually make a compilation of research on that, but like I said, laptop first.

Submissions are also always welcome.

How do I trap and kill a succubus?

I do not know much about the succubus, but I will offer what help I can.

There are many legends concerning the succubus, so additional research may be necessary. Most succubus mythology claims that the entity is a female demon appearing in the form of a human woman who seduces her male victim often through sexual intercourse, while draining him of his life force. Before taking action please be as positive as possible that this is a succubus. They can sometimes be identified through slight deformities (such as bird-like claws). Also if you notice a dramatic deterioration of health in her suspected victim.

As for trapping the succubus, she can usually be easily found by locating her victim so that may not be necessary. If that does not work, perhaps maybe a summoning spell. According to most myths I’ve seen, since she is a demon, she can be dealt with as such. Common practices can include banishment spells for demonic entities, or possibly repelling through the burning of Devil’s shoestring, or salt. I’m not quite sure about killing though.

To be sure of any of these solutions though, additional research is necessary! Does anyone else know anything that could help?

So are you actually a legit hunter that's not just a role-playing fan of the show? I mean no disrespect or rudeness but I just want to be sure about what stuff I read and pay attention to. Again I mean no disrespect

I cannot disclose information about myself and what I do, but what I can tell you is the research and information on this blog are rooted in real myths and legends and are not based on a tv show.

You will notice, however, that some of the sources may be websites that are associated with the show Supernatural. This is because that show uses information from real mythology and therefore can sometimes provide good information. I also acknowledge because it is a fictional tv show, sometimes it makes up additional fictional information and I am careful to leave those parts (the made up for entertainment aspects) out of my blog.

And I assure you your inquiries did not come off as disrespectful at all.Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.

I was going through your info and noticed you've done a lot of research and wanted to tell you good work and if you don't mind I'd like to follow your work as you go on.

Thank you very much. And you’re welcome to. Unfortunately, I admit I’ve been neglecting the blog and I’ve been doing most of my research in physical books, but I will try to get it all transferred here.

Are these post you've found or did you write these?

Some I wrote, others I found, most are compilations of stuff I’ve found. Sources are always linked in the bottom. This is just a blog and I do not claim the writings as my own.

Changeling

In European folklore and folk belief, a changeling is the offspring of a fairy, troll, elf or other legendary creature that has been secretly left in the place of a human child. The apparent changeling could also be a stock, a glamorized piece of wood that would soon appear to grow sick and die.
At first, the changeling will appear extremely similar to the kidnapped person. However, small details will be noticeable to keen eyes, such as difference in height, weight, or color of eyes. In some legends the changeling will revert to its true fairy form with time. A keen eye to detail can help identify a changeling. Otherwise, getting a changeling to betray its own identity is best.
In one tale, a woman was able to get a changeling to admit its true nature by doing something odd in front of it. In the legend, the woman decided to brew tea in an eggshell. The changeling, disguised as an infant, blurted out, “I have seen many things in my day, but never have I seen someone brew tea in an eggshell.” At that point the gig was up. The changeling was busted.

Like all fairies, changelings fear iron objects. They also fear salt and scissors. The best method of dealing with a changeling is to abuse it, usually by threatening to burn it. If a changeling is outed and threatened of being burnt, the fairy parents are said to immediately take back the changeling and return the kidnapped child. (This theory, however, is not proven correct.) Unfortunately, this practice of threatening a perceived changeling has led to the abuse and murder of babies thought to be different, be it via a birth defect, deformity, or merely being a gifted child. To protect your child from being kidnapped by fairies, the best defense is to make sure the child is baptized. It is said that fairies can only kidnap unbaptized children.
